The conference addresses from an interdisciplinary perspective the innovative topic of the increasingly pervasive use of IoT(Internet of Things) in the field of workplace safety, declining it in legal and technical profiles.

The speakers will illustrate some practical examples of the use of IoT in confined spaces in the garb of the University of Bologna’s project called “Solution Bank.”

Subsequently, the legal aspects and issues underlying the adoption, the need for adoption or the provisions for adoption and the effectiveness of smart dpi and their impact on employer responsibilities will be addressed, in relation to the Consolidated Text Leg. 81/08 and the protection of workers’ personal data (EU Reg. 2016/679 GDPR and Art. 4 Workers’ Statute).
